I perform with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Crafton Beck.
2011–2012 Season Schedule
- Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 7:30pm — MSO Bravo I
Maurice Ravel's La Valse (The Waltz) raises the curtain on the season, followed by Marta Szlubowska's performance of Max Bruch's lyrical Violin Concerto No. 1 and Shostakovich's riveting Symphony No. 5. A free pre-concert lecture by Timothy Coker is available at the Mississippi Museum of Art (cash bar) at 6:45 PM. The entire audience is invited to a complimentary reception with food and wine on the Fountain Court immediately following the concert. At The Cedars, Jackson MS - The Cedars 11th annual outdoor concert of the outstanding Mississippi Symphony Orchestra held on the front lawn of The Cedars. Join us for "An Evening in the Garden" celebrating the opening of The Art Garden at the Mississippi Museum of Art. This elegant fundraising gala in The Art Garden features cocktails, a seated dinner by Executive Chef Luis Bruno and performances throughout the evening by the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.

Alfred Hitchcock chose Charles Gounod's Funeral March of a Marionette for his playfully macabre television series - and what could be a better opener for concert performances of Alfred Schnittke's haunting Ritual and Berlioz's dazzling and delirious Symphonie Fantastique? The Mississippi Chorus with select musicians from the Mississippi Symphony will present The Messiah and additional Christmas carols on Saturday, December 17th at 7:30pm at Wesley Biblical Seminary. Virtuoso Thomas Pandolfi will reach into your soul with Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 before the full orchestra presents a rare performance of Franz Schubert's epic Symphony No. 9 (The Great). A free pre-concert lecture by Craig Young is available at the Mississippi Museum of Art (cash bar) at 6:45 PM. - Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 7:30pm — Chamber II: Mozart by Candlelight
The 12th annual edition of what has become one of the MSO's most beloved events features our own Principal Flute, Sybil Cheesman, performing the master's G Major Flute Concerto. Then Mozart's renowned Symphony No. 38 (Prague), the playful overture to his comic opera Cosi fan Tutte, and other sparkling favorites will be performed, all enhanced by the luminosity of more than one hundred candles. - Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 7:30pm — MSO Pops II - The Music of Elton John
Touring vocalist John Meilleur and pianist John Regan team up with the Jeans 'n Classics band and the musicians of the MSO to present an extraordinary meeting between classic rock and classical players. - Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 7:30pm — MSO Bravo IV - Exotic, Eclectic and Electric
The exotic Sinfonia India by Carlos Chavez starts an eclectic evening before virtuosa Stephanie Chase fronts the orchestra for Leonard Bernstein's Serenade. Camille Saint-Saens' well-known blockbuster Symphony No. 3 (Organ) closes the concert. A free pre-concert lecture by Timothy Coker is available at the Mississippi Museum of Art (cash bar) at 6:45 PM. - Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 7:30pm — Bravo V - Ode to Joy
Following Benjamin Britten's Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell—more widely known as The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra—four soloists, a grand chorus and the full complement of the MSO bring down the curtain on the Bravo season with Beethoven's monumental Symphony No. 9 (Ode to Joy). A free pre-concert lecture by Timothy Coker is available at the Mississippi Museum of Art (cash bar) at 6:45 PM. - Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 7:30pm — MSO performs in Livingston AL
- Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 7:30pm — Chamber IV: American Elegy
The Chamber Series comes to a close with Aaron Jay Kernis' moving tribute to the heroes, victims and survivors of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, works by Estonian composer Arvo Part's spellbinding Fratres, and the evocative music of Ottorino Respighi.

- Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 6:00pm — Sunday Evening Worship at First Baptist Church Jackson. Offertory.
- Friday, October 7, 2011 at 7:30pm — Millsaps Singers: Fall Concert "Voices and Strings" at Millsaps College. Singers present their fall choral concert, conducted by Dr. Timothy Coker. This concert will present significant choral music composed for chorus and string orchestra. Featured works are Mass in G Major by Franz Schubert, "Cantique" by Gabriel Faure, "Happy Shore" by Randall Thompson, and Triptych by Tarik O'Regan.
- Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 7:30pm — Festival of Lights at Provine Chapel. Dec. 1 - 3, The Festival of Lights, featuring the MC Singers, has brightened the holiday season on the Clinton campus for more than two decades. Don't miss this classic holiday performance including the premier of Benjamin Williams' The Incarnate Word, featuring Emily Williams on violin.
